You know you wanna!
Ok, so, how about a knit-a-long that has some very open ended rules, you don't have to send anything to anyone, and for the most part, you can do whatever the hell you want? How does that sound? Then you really need to check this out:
I think Dave has outdone himself with this one! Your mittens pretty much can be anything you want them to be - wearable or not - functional or decorative art - it's all up to you! And for those of us who are so random that we usually have to look for our car keys every morning (or the dog...), this gives us a wide berth for creativity and making changes at the drop of a hat! So, grab those needles and make some mittens!

Bitches that knit--UNITE! Don't you just love the web site that Dave put together for this?
If nothing else Dave has a lot of people thinking about making mittens--and that's a great summer project.
It kind reminds me of those "real american men of genius" beer commercials.

i want so much to be part of the in crowd...I just have so much to do already...I'd never keep up. I'd end up making a pair of functional mittens from Cascade 220! I just can't committ to another project...but I'll follow along with great interest.
