Concentrating....

So, as I promised, here she is: KNITTING! We all started somewhere, didn't we? Eileen was such a great help and such a good friend to tag along for this little excursion into the world of teaching. She's a REALLY good friend...

Dontcha just love Sandee's face as she's workin' the needles? This is only the tip of the iceberg for pics - isn't she precious? Now if we can just get her to relax and enjoy the process, but that will come in time.... I hope... Later.

Yeah, the tongue/lip biting says it all: stern determination to MAKE.THAT.STITCH!

Aren't you folks nice to teach her how to become addicted...I mean enlightened into the world of knitting. Is she ready for MDS&W?

She might not be quite ready for MDS&W yet, but by September she ought to be fully primed for the Finger Lakes Fiber Festival. That one's a little closer to home, too.

She's a real trooper, she is. You should see all of the face shots I got while she was knitting - I didn't dare post them for fear of being hit with a brick or something. And what is this Finger Lakes Fiber Festival, when and where???

Finger Lakes is the weekend of September 16-17 at a fairgrounds in Hemlock, NY (roughly south of Rochester, more or less). Website at:

Sounds like a good excuse to get together with other knitters (as if we needed an excuse...)

Paul,

The Mass Sheep and Wool festival is Memorial weekend. There is a bus trip from Syracuse on Saturday. Just a one day thing with a stop at Webs afterwards. I'm sure there will be some blue hairs on the bus... but who knows with a little alcohol it may not be too bad. Let me know if you are interested in going.

A bus to Mass Sheep and Wool from Syracuse? AND Webs? Be still, my itchy fingers!

Where's the pickup? What's the cost? Who do I have to bribe?

Is anyone planning on going to Rhinebeck this year? October 21 & 22, '06. Let's get out our calendars, knitters!

What a great guy you are to help convert another over to the dark side. You will be having red pot dyeing parties next...hey a Kool-Aid carry in!

Oh, the face of concentration! Love it!

But what is more telling is the twitching of the fingers of the woman watching her student knit --- and trying so hard NOT to just get her hands in there and do it already!! I wouldn't be able to stand it... I have to walk away and come back when it's all over! Oh, the temptation is just too great!

Hooray for our side! One more convert. Little by little, one by one, we will take over the world! hehe
