Mitten...
So, yeah, like I'm still working on a mitten. Yeah, it's going slowly. But ya see, I'm not in this for speed. I'm in this for relaxation. So there... This is how far I've gotten, and Dave's yarn looks a lttle washed out here. The colors are very vibrant in real life:
I just wanted you all to know that I'm still knitting.... And I thank those of you who have left comments the past several days. It's been such fun trying to keep up with Ann and Dave. It's not easy....Have a great night!

What's not so easy, huh? Whaddya saying? Huh? What???
it's all Ann's fault. She lives in a damned cornfield for chrissake!
Those mittens look fab-u-lous, Paul. They really do. I might try some of my yarn for mittens.
I'm sayin' you two are the liveliest bloggin' knitters this side of the Mississippi! And I'm glad you like the mittens - I'm having a really good time with the dpns. 'Night!
Well at least you're knitting. I've frogged two projects and I'm in a slump. Someone motivate me.... please!
That man is everywhere!
Looking good, sweetie!
Paul,
See, I get the blame for everything..I am such a nice sweet gentle and kind person. Blinking innocently...I was like a lamb lead to the wolves in blogland. Who knew that mentioning an innocent game like cornholing would pull me into this evil place called blogland.
Yep..and I have some ocean front property here in the cornfields if you are interested.
I love the mittens. It makes them extra special when you know that someone died (ok dyed) so that you could have them.
:o)
Ann
Ann,
It's ok. You see, with just a mention of "cornholing", everyone's ears just seem to prick up... So you see, it's not just you...
I'm not sayin' nothin'...nothin' at all...it was her, all her [pointing to the left]--->
All this time I thought that term was "perk up"...I had no idea that pricks would be mentioned or I would have been back last night to check this out.
Yeah Mr. Daniels, I am not buying the faux innocent act. I am finding out quite the contrary is the case with you.
:o)
Ann
P.S. And just what are you pointin? DPNs?
I believe "prick" may be the British version.. The is a wonder fils biography of British playwrite Joe Orton called "Prick up Your Ears". It's a bit graphic and violent, since he was murdered in his sleep with a hammer by his lover (who was not wrapped too tightly). Well, I guess it's not a movie for the squeemish...
You know me I relish any opportunity to drag things immediately into the gutter.
How often does a door open like that and a prick walk in and give you an line like that to jump on?
:o)
Ann
P.S. That was a trap wasn't it? You are trying to see who would break first...LOL..Shaking my fist at the mayor of Cabin Cove. I didn't have any problems going there.
What was it Oscar Wilde said? Those of us in the the gutter are looking up at the stars....
The mittens are lovely, Paul.
That said, I'm in awe of the quilt you used as a background. Who made all those teeny, tiny, uniform stitches?! Just... wow.
The quilt (I think) I bought from Overstock.com. It's just a throw I bought to drape over my ugly green couch, and if Lizzie decides to curl up on it in the middle of the night (as is not uncommon) it's not a big deal. I really like the quilting - i think it's really cool. I love Amish quilts for the same reason - all the fine stitching.
Oh, and Stacy, thanks for the kind comment about the mittens - I think they're gonna be kinda cool myself...
